Sofi Oksaneni uut romaani esitletakse filmi ”Puhastus” maailma esilinastusel Tallinnas

Soome-eesti kirjaniku Sofi Oksaneni uue romaani ”Kun kyyhkyset katosivat” (”Kui tuvid kadusid”) tutvustus leiab aset neljapäeval, 30. augustil Nokia Kontserdimajas Tallinnas, pärast seda toimub filmi ”Puhastus” maailmaesilinastus eraldi nii soome kui eesti keeles.

Tallinnasse saabuvad lisaks Oksanenile mitmed filmi valmimisega seotud inimesed, ka näitlejad.

Oksaneni uue romaani tutvustamisel osalevad ka Eesti päritolu tuntud Rootsi kirjanik Maarja Talgre ja ajaloolane Ivo Juurvee. Muusikalisi vahepalu pakub ansambel Lindpriid. Õhtut juhib kontserni Otava kommunikatsioonijuht Liisa Riekki.

Korraldajad on kutsunud kultuuriõhtule Eesti presidendi Toomas Hendrik Ilvese ning kultuuriministrid Rein Langi ja Paavo Arhinmäki.

Oksaneni uuel romaanil on rekordiline esmatrükk. Romaani ”Kun kyyhkyset katosivat” trükitakse esmalt 100 000 eksemplari. Nii suuri tiraaže nähti Soomes viimati Väinö Linna ja Kalle Päätalo aegadel. Oksaneni uus teos kuulub Eesti-teemalisse tetraloogiasse. Varem on ilmunud ”Stalini lehmad” ja ”Puhastus”.

Sofi Oksaneni uus romaan jutustab inimeste ees olevatest valikutest, truudusest ja truudusetusest, kohanemisest ja mittekohanemisest maal, mille saatuseks on olnud jääda okupantide võimu alla. Romaani sündmustik kulgeb 1930-ndatest 1960-ndate aastateni, terrori ja rahu aastatel.

Film ”Puhastus” on hingemattev põnevusdraama kahest naisest, keda jälitab ning ühendab nende oma häbiväärne minevik. Auhinnatud menuromaani filmiversioon on valminud Soome Solar Filmsi ja Eesti Taska Filmi koostöös. Puhastus jõuab kinoekraanidele 7. septembrist alates.

Soomekeelse filmi kesksed osatäitjad on Liisi Tandefelt, Amanda Pilke, Laura Birn, Krista Kosonen, Peter Franzén (kes mängis ka New Yorgi “Puhastuse” teatriversioonis – toim.), Tommi Korpela ja Kristjan Sarv. Filmi käsikiri on Marko Leino ja filmi stsenaristi Antti Jokineni sulest.
