We’ll explore big picture issues confronting Estonians today, celebrate the rich song and dance traditions that connect and keep us, consider the Estonian language as a vehicle for creative expression, and so much more, all while celebrating over 75 years of the West Coast Estonian Days.

In the afternoon the Resilience Forum turns to Estonia, which sits on the geopolitical frontline of contemporary hybrid threats and offers a unique environment for examining what is being done and what is still needed. Be part of a unique and exciting afternoon that will convene experts to share and discuss perspectives, and invites your participation. (Both the startup event and forum are included in the festival pass – for individual tickets, look for the link to register soon.)
In the evening, join us for an Opening Ceremony and Reception featuring a concert of both classical and community musical talents, on the 36th floor of the Grand Hyatt with spectacular city views, with the celebration continuing into the late evening with contemporary vibes from DJ Kiino Villand.

Then, let Estonian song and folk music resonate in the city at the Estonian Pop Up Concert @ Union Square! where everyone is welcome.
Gala Concert and Dinner
To close LEP2026 on Sunday evening, we’ll celebrate in a big way with special musical headliner guests Elina Born and Robert Vaigla! You may know her as a contestant on Eesti otsib superstaari and Eesti Laul! The evening starts with a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and a concert, and the passing of the flag to the next LEP host city. Then, hit the dance floor with the contemporary vibes of DJ Kiino Villand! Wear your finest, with an Estonian folk flair!
For kids and Youth
The Estonian Days are a family affair! Our priority in planning has been to keep prices low for children (ages 12 and under and youth (ages 13-18).
On Friday, Kristi Roosmaa leads a digital media storytelling workshop for youth “Mis on Eesti?” it’s never been more important to understand how to craft your own narrative on social media, and in this afternoon we’ll work in groups and on our skills to create a video (ages 13+).
On Saturday at the Rahvapidu, meet the Eesti Haldjas for a magical day of storytelling and games, and discovering Estonia through fairytales.
Back at the hotel, the Youth Lounge will be open for teens and youth.
Calling Vendors for the Jaanilaat
We are inviting interest from vendors for the Midsummer Market at the Rahvapidu – Folk Festival on the afternoon of Saturday, June 27 in Marin.
The market will take place indoors at this indoor-outdoor event, and welcomes vendors selling handmade items or items with a connection to Estonia or the Baltic countries. Info tables are also welcome.
