The Joint Baltic American National Committee, Inc. (JBANC) is organizing its 12th Baltic Conference – “New Realities: The Baltic Region in a Changing World.”
The main conference will take place on Saturday, May 20, at the Washington Court Hotel in the District of Columbia. Saturday’s keynote speaker is former Senior Diplomat, Ambassador Daniel Fried. We will be hearing from a number of policy experts, diplomats, media representatives, community activists, and government representatives. The following is a preliminary look at panel themes for the main conference day on May 20.

On Friday, May 19, we are planning an afternoon congressional briefing in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, followed by an evening reception. If you decide to come in a day earlier, you are welcome to attend a reception on Capitol Hill on May 18 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the House Baltic Caucus. This will give you an opportunity to meet and mingle with members of Congress and their staffs and other friends of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. More details will be forthcoming soon.
