Dear all interested in the Estonian language and culture, we are happy to welcome everyone to the Estonian Summer Courses organised by the University of Tartu College of Foreign Languages and Cultures!
The courses are taught on the basis of English and they are divided into 4 different modules according to language levels. All the modules take place during the same period 24 July – 4 August 2017:
Module I. Beginners I, level 0 > A1 (4,5 ECTS)
Module II. Beginners II, level A1 > A2 (4,5 ECTS)
Module III. Pre-intermediate course, level A2 > B1 (4,5 ECTS)
Module IV. Intermediate course, level B1 > B2 (4,5 ECTS)
The students are divided into modules II, III and IV on the basis of the results of a short test/discussion on the first day.
Language lessons take place in the mornings and afternoons. After that we visit museums, watch Estonian films and participate in workshops.
The price of each module is 430 EUR, and several scholarships are available for students.
For the first time, the College of Foreign Languages and Cultures will offer 2 scholarships, which cover the tuition fee for the course. The scholarship was created to honour the contribution and support by Epp-Karike Jürima Sonin and thus carries the name “Epp Sonin Scholarship”. Applicants with Estonian roots and applicants who don’t qualify for student scholarships have an advantage, but others are welcome to apply as well.
A more detailed description of the course schedules and descriptions, the registration process, scholarships and accommodation can be found on our homepage: www.maailmakeeled.ut.ee/en/estonian-summer
