Sofi Oksanen sai taas ühe kaaluka preemia

Kirjanik Sofi Oksanen võitis 15. märtsil Rootsi akadeemia Põhjamaade kirjandusauhinna. 

Maineka preemia on varem võitnud kõigest neli soomlast või soomerootslast (Lars Huldén, Bo Carpelan, Paavo Haavikko ja Nils Erik Enqvist). Oksanen on esimene auhinna saanud soome naine ja üldse kolmas naine, kes selle preemia saab.

Preemia antakse autori kogu senise loomingu eest ja selle rahaline väärtus on 350 000 Rootsi krooni ehk umbes 42 000 eurot. Auhind antakse üle 10. aprillil Stockholmi börsihoones. Varem on Oksanen võitnud muu hulgas Finlandia kirjandusauhinna, Runebergi preemia ja Põhjamaade Nõukogu kirjandusauhinna.

„Kui ma auhinnast kuulsin, olin äärmiselt üllatunud, kuna ma olen soomlane ja päris noor,” ütles kirjanik Helsingin Sanomatele. Aprillis ilmub tema uus romaan „Kui tuvid kadusid” Rootsis, Taanis ja Norras. Oksanen märkis ajalehele, et talle pakub huvi, millised teemad nendes riikides tähelepanu äratavad. „Tõenäoliselt tõuseb esile holokausti teema, kuna antisemitismi tõus on Euroopas päris nähtaval kohal.” Kirjanik lisas, et kui Soomes suhtuti „Puhastusse” kui Eesti-teemalisse teosesse, siis Skandinaavias võeti seda kui inimkaubandusromaani.
