NATO Secretary General, British Prime Minister Visit Tapa Army Base
“NATO has increased its presence at sea, in the air and on land,” the Secretary General of the Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg said during his quick visit to Estonia on March 1. Stoltenberg participated in a joint press conference at the Tapa Army Base along with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas. Boris Johnson said that NATO would not intervene in Ukraine because it is a defense organization. “It is very clear here that we cannot go to fight in another territory. We cannot send our planes into Ukrainian airspace. We cannot start shooting down Russian planes,” Johnson said. However, Johnson noted that Ukrainian troops are receiving military equipment, including weapons, from NATO. Watch the full press conference via: https://bit.ly/3HzrBAN (Pg 1)
