Rahvusvaheline suvekool toob Tallinnasse sadu õppureid

Tallinna ülikoolis kestab kuuendat korda 11.-26. juulini rahvusvaheline suvekool, mis toob Eestisse kokku ligi 300 õppurit enam kui 45 riigist.
Suvekoolis on kokku 18 kursust.
Siinsete ja välisõppejõudude juhendamisel saab tutvuda näiteks kuue keele, kauboide ajaloo, loovkirjutamise ning maailmafilosoofiaga. Kaugeim väliskülaline saabus Tallinna suvekooli Kolumbiast.

"Tahtsin rohkem teada filmitegemisest ning tutvuda uute inimestega, sest Kolumbiast eestlasi ei leia," põhjendas siia saabumist Juan Alejandro.
Kõige populaarsem on suveülikoolis eesti keele kursus, kuhu sel aastal registreerus rekordiliselt 68 inimest.
"Mu vanaisa oli pärit Tallinnast, ta nimi oli Johan Voldemar Valli. Valli on mu nimi ka. Eesti kultuur, eesti keel huvitab mind, ma olen siin, et eesti keelt õppida," rääkis argentiinlane Pablo.
Lätlasest eesti keele huviline Lelde põhjendas huvi eesti keele vastu sellega, et tema vanaema on eestlane, ehkki elab Lätis.
Kui väliseestlased tulid suveülikooli oma juuri taas-avastama, siis kohalikke paeluvad hoopiski eksootilisemad keeled.
"Ma olen ise Tallinna ülikoolis lõpetanud jaapani filoloogia ja mõtlesin, et miks mitte ka hiina keelt õppida," rääkis Anželika. "Väga põnev. Mina saan hakkama ja õpetaja on hästi vahva".
Kursuste läbiv teema on sel aastal hirm. Suvekooli peakursus ongi 22. kuni 29. juulil toimuv "Hirm: poeetika ja praktikad".
