Muusikaline KLENK 2012

Võiks öelda, et tänavune  KLENK oli oma olemuselt muusikaline.  Reedel kell 5:30 õhtul oli lustitunniks (happy hour) kokku tulnud tubli poolsada osalejat ja jällenägemise rõõmuhüüdeid kostis kõikjal. Peale peenroogadega õhtusööki järgnes samas Hilissuvine kohtumine (“Late Summer Soirée”), mille raames pakkusid elukutselised muusikud eesotsas maestro Taavo Virkhausiga (klaver), Viljar Puu Weimann (viiul) ja Heiki Palm (tsello), osalejaile haruldaselt nauditava ja esmaklassilise kammermuusika kontserdi. 

Kava alustas Handel-Halvorseni Passacaglia – viiul ja tsello; Kaljo Raidi Estonian Suite (teine osa) – viiul ja klaver ning Largo – tsello ja klaver; J. Massenet’i  Meditation – viiul ja klaver; A. Pärti Fratres – tsello ja klaver; Kaljo Raidi Vanamoeline süit –  viiul ja tsello ja Ööpala, ning lõpetuseks C. Saint-Saéne The Swan. (Muide, Viljar Puu Weimann mängis eriliselt ilusa kõlaga viiulil, mis oli meie viiulimeistri Meeme Mälgi valmistatud.)

Laupäev kulges KLENKile tavakohaselt huvitavate loengutega, millest teile pajatab Ool Pärdi. Hiljem leidis aset sõprusõhtu koos haruldaselt maitsva õhtusöögiga. Järgnes Kanadast kohalviibiva Enn Kiilaspea juhtimisel ja eelpool mainitud muusikute kaastegevusel “jam session”, ühislaul ja tants.

Kuigi KLENK toimus harilikult tänupüha nädalalõpul on Kesklääne Eesti Noortest saanud “endised noored” ja vastav nädalalõpp möödub paljudel perekondlikus ringis nagu see Ameerikas tavaks. Seetõttu oli nüüdne KLENK juba teine katsetus muuta ajakava. Paljudele meeldis eelnenud 2011 a. KLENK, mis kolis ajutiselt keskläänest hoopis Floridasse ja peeti tänavu jaanuaris, aga ka augustikuud ei peetud ideaalseks valikuks. Augustis on puhkused, käiakse Eestis, aset leiavad noortele mitmed laagrid, toimub idaranniku Spordipäev ja Metsaülikool Kanadas. Pakuti välja oktoobrikuu.

Tänavune KLENK toimus ilusas ajaloolises Dearborne Inn’is – arhitekt A. Kahn – ja oli korraldatud ülimalt hästi tänu Linda Einpaulile, kelle õlgadel lasus peamine töö. Eriti huvitav oli ka, et Dearborne Inn asub Henry Ford Muuseumi vahetus läheduses (umbes 3/4 miili), kus on kestev “liikuva Ameerika arengu” väljapanek, alustades hiiglasliku Allegheny veduriga, ajalooliste autode, lennukite ja Thomas Edisoni elektriliste leiutiste ja töötubadega noortele ja huvitatuile ning palju muud. Kohe sealsamas asub ka vanaaegne Greenfield Village, kus võib näha nii tuule- kui vesiveskeid, klaasi- ning portselani töökodasid ja palju muud ajaloolist; ka toimub seal kontserte ning üritusi olenevalt korraldajate ajakavast. (Meie nautisime toreda pooltunni Gershwini muusikat.) Võib jalutada või ringi sõita nii vanaaegse rongi kui ka hobusõidukitega. Mitmed, kes olid saabunud varem või kes veetsid rohkem aega Michigani osariigiga tutvumisel, kasutasidgi võimalust neid vaatamisväärsusi külastada koos kaua aja tagant kokkusaanud tuttavatega.

Igati meeldejääv ja sisukas kokkutulek.
