We are very pleased to report that The Singing Revolution has been renewed on U.S. Public Television, and not only that, it has already been scheduled to rebroadcast back to back with To Breathe as One on August 1st & 2nd!
Today, each local PBS station has multiple channels, so be sure to check your local station to determine which local channel it is playing on in your area.
The majority of stations will be broadcasting the films on their PBS WORLD CHANNEL http://worldchannel.org
The Singing Revolution, followed directly by To Breathe as One will broadcast on PBS WORLD on August 1st and 2nd.
Here are the broadcast times (keep in mind this is a two-hour time block…one hour for each film):
Eastern Time Zone: Monday, August 1st at 7PM and Midnight; Tuesday, August 2nd at 8AM and 2PM
Central Time Zone: Monday, August 1st at 6PM and 11PM; Tuesday, August 2nd at 7AM and 1PM
Mountain Time Zone: Monday, August 1st at 5PM and 10PM; Tuesday, August 2nd at 6AM and Noon
Pacific Time Zone: Monday, August 1st at 4PM and 9PM; Tuesday, August 2nd at 5AM and 11AM
World Channel covers over 65% of the country. There will be other pickups of TSR as well, so this is just a start. Broadcast details will be added to the TSR and TBA1 websites at the end of the week, or you can contact your local PBS station.
Even though the Public Television contract for The Singing Revolution was renewed, that’s only the first step. Funding was needed to promote the film with World and each individual station to encourage them to schedule the broadcasts.
We are extremely grateful to Steve Jürvetson, Karla Jürvetson and the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for their generous support that will allow so many more people to see these powerful stories.
Please help spread the word on the re-broadcast August 1st & 2nd (and more after that)! Thank you for your continued support.
