Eesti Aasta Film 2011

Eesti Filmiajakirjanike Ühing (EFÜ) kuulutas 5. jaanuaril Tallinnas kinos Sõprus pidulikult välja Aasta Filmi. Filmiajakirjanikud valisid tänavu Aasta Filmiks Jaan Tootseni dokfilmi “Uus Maailm” ühe vabakonna ja selle tuumikhingede empaatilise ja mitmehäälse kujutamise eest. Jaan Tootsenit pärjati rahalise preemia ning Neitsi Maali pronkskujuga. 

Dokfilm Tallinnas Uue Maailma linnaosas asuva Uue Maailma seltsi tegemistest räägib näitliku loo kodanikuühiskonna küpsemisest ja põhja kõrvetamisest. Autor Jaan Tootsen jälgis seltsi elu viie aasta vältel. Tulemuseks on pea pooleteisetunnine lugu ühest algatusest selle algusest lõpuni.

Parima  filmikriitiku tiitli pälvis Donald Tomberg oma subtiilse ja mahedalt tasakaaluka filmikriitika eest. Aasta filmiraamatu auhind läks Andres Laasikule filmilooja ja –loomingu mahuka käsitlemise eest avaral ühiskondlikul foonil raamatus “Kaljo Kiisk. Ikka hea pärast”. Nii Tootsenit, Tombergi kui Laasikut premeeriti 1000 euro suuruste rahaliste auhindadega. Filmi ja raamatu auhinna annetas Olympic Casino Eesti AS, filmikriitiku preemia rahastas Eesti Kultuurkapital.

Filmiajakirjanikud valisid ka Eesti kinodes linastunud filmide hulgast aasta silmatorkavaimaks levifilmiks Lars von Trieri draama “Melanhoolia”.

EFÜ tegutseb alates 1993. aastast ja on rahvusvahelise filmiajakirjanike organisatsiooni FIPRESCI liige. Tänavu anti Aasta Filmi auhind välja 19. korda. EFÜ Aasta Filmi auhind on Eesti Vabariigi iseseisvusaja kõige vanem filmiauhind, mis on saanud nimeks Neitsi Maali ning millega kaasneb pronksist originaalkuju (autor Priit Tender).

 

Varem on EFÜ auhinna saanud:

1993 – Sulev Keeduse dokumentaalfilm “In Paradisum”

1994 – Hardi Volmeri mängufilm “Tulivesi”

1995 – Priit Pärna ja Janno Põldma joonisfilm “1895”

1996 – Jüri Sillarti dokumentaalfilm “Grisha”

1997 – Mark Soosaare dokumentaalfilm “Isa, poeg ja püha Toorum”

1998 – Sulev Keeduse mängufilm “Georgica”

1999 – Marko Raadi dokumentaalfilm “Esteetilistel põhjustel”

2000 – Janno Põldma ja Heiki Ernitsa joonisfilm “Lotte”

2001 – Priit Tenderi joonisfilm „Mont Blanc“

2002 – Marko Raadi mängufilm „Agent Sinikael“

2003 – said auhinna võrdselt kaks filmi : Sulev Keeduse mängufilm „Somnambuul“ ja Jaak Kilmi ja Andres Maimiku dokumentaalfilm „Elav jõud“.

2004 – said auhinna võrdselt kaks filmi: Enn Säde dokumentaalfilm „Jüri –

see mulk ehk mis tuul müürile…“ ja Esto TV dokumentaalfilm “Vali kord”

2005 – Jaak Kilmi mängufilm “Kohtumine tundmatuga”

2006 – Veiko Õunpuu mängufilm “Tühirand”.

2007 – said auhinna võrdselt kaks filmi: Sulev Keeduse dokumentaalfilm ”Jonathan Austraaliast” ja Veiko Õunpuu  mängufilm “Sügisball

2008 – Mait Laasi dokumentaalfilm “Aja meistrid”

2009 – Veiko Õunpuu mängufilm “Püha Tõnu kiusamine”

2010 – Mati Küti animafilm “Taevalaul”
