The Baltic communities in the Bay Area are working together to host two days of contemporary Baltic film in San Francisco this spring, on March 23 and April 13 at the Latvian Hall.
The films to be screened include Rodeo, the 2018 documentary about the wild early years of the Estonian government during the post-occupation 90’s, and Võta või jäta (“Take It Or Leave It”), a modern story about a young Estonian single father, which was Estonia’s submission to the 2019 Academy Awards.
Also set to be shown are Kriminālās ekselences fonds (“The Foundation of Criminal Excellence”), Baltu Ciltis (“Baltic Tribes”), from Latvia, and Nuostabieji Luzeriai. Kita planeta (Wonderful Losers: A Different World) from Lithuania.
