After 72 years St. Marks Estonian congregation has decided to end the work of the congregation. This has been a painful topic during the past three years and making the final decision was very difficult. Throughout these latter years the congregation membership and activities have declined significantly with dwindling attendance at services.

St. Marks Estonian congregation will have their final service on September 22, 2024 at 2 PM where Arch-Bishop Urmas Viilma from Estonia will preside, assisted by Bishop Ove Sander and Pastor Markus Vaga. Renata O’Reilly will be the organist, with the Baltimore-Washington Estonian Choir performing under the direction of Tjorven Hairfield, accompanied by Silvi Valge. Immediately following the service will be a social hour in Lehr Hall.

St. Marks Evangelical Lutheran Church is at 1900 St. Paul St., Baltimore, MD 21218. Additional information is available from congregation Chairman Agu Ets at 301-526-3327 or [email protected].
