Mis oleks meie elu ilma muusikata?

New Yorgi Eesti Naiskoori  Kevadkontsert New Yorgi Eesti Majas 5. mail 2012

Meie elu ilma muusikata oleks kui januse hüüd Sahara kõrbes vee järele, mida ainult muusikaline heli pakkuda  suudab.  Harmoonia ja rütm äratab inimeses korratunnet ja identiteeti. Klassikaline muusika rahustab paljude närvisüsteemi täna-päeva tehnilises elupinges, jne.

19. sajandi kooriliikumise muusika algas  ja kestis kuni 1869. a. Laulupeoni, toites Eesti mitmetuhandelist hinge ja rahvuslikku identiteeti.

 Eriti aga 50 aastat kestnud  Sovieti okupatsiooni ajal, mil Eestile vabastavaks poliitiliseks nõudmiseks  sai kuulus  nn Laulev Revolutsioon, ilma  püssita ja pauguta, kui  vaid meenutada 1991. a. kuldset  taasvabadust, mil heliloojate inspiratsioon ärkas õitsele mitmes väliseesti kooriliigis.  

Neist  ainulaadsem ja ideelisem on olnud ainus eesti naiskoor  Ameerikas, kes  oma  62. kontserdi 5. mail  omaenda  solistide ja Läti Maestro Andrejs Jansons’iga toredasti helisema pani.

Kontsert algas koori kestva vandega: “Eesti  muld  ja  Eesti  süda, kes neid  jõuaks  lahuta …”

Vanameistrite ja noorheliloojatega pooleks valitud kavas köidab tähelepanu koorilaulu meisterhelilooja Gustav  Ernesaksa  grupp, eriti meeldejääva  õitsilauluga ooperist “Pühajärv”. Imetlustvääriv selle juures on mõistatus: kuidas saab dirigent üht vokaalkontserti  juhatada, ilma keelt mõistmata. Sellele vastab Maestro naeratades, “et lauljad  tõlgivad mulle sõnad  ära.”

Koori esinaine  õnnitleb Maestrot, ka tema hiljutise Kultuurfondi aastaauhinna saamise puhul.

Solistidest  garanteerisid kontserdi rikastamise kutselised pianistid – koorijuhi alaline partner Katrin Veski soolonumbritega  Bach; Gimbel Granados  ja koorijuhtpianist Erik Veski Brahmsi ja Artur Lemba “Sõnadeta  lauluga”. Mõlemad kunstnikud olid heas vormis ja edukad. Lisapalaks andis koor Peep Sarapiku “Ta lendab mesipuu poole”.

Lilli andsid: koori esinaine koorijuhtidele ja solistidele. Virve Vaher Eesti Abistamiskomitee poolt, Laine Tigane Seenioride Klubi poolt ja  NYE Meeskoor.

”Eesti laul on kõige ilusam maailmas,” leiab Eesti Helikunsti Keskus Ameerikas.
