Lõppes Los Angelese Eesti Kooli edukas õppeaasta

Los Angelese Eesti Täienduskoolis lõppes just 2015/2016  kooliaasta.

Eesti Kool on täiendusõpet pakkuv kool, mille eesmärgiks on toetada lapsevanemaid eestikeelse keskkonna loomisel säilitamaks meie rahvuslikke juuri ning jäädvustamaks eesti rahva ja kultuuripärandit ka väljaspool Eestit.

Meie koolis on loodud lapse arengut soodustav turvaline ja lapsesõbralik eestikeelne õpikeskkond, mis on lastele väga huvitavaks ja meeldivaks tehtud. Õppetöö toimub eesti keeles, et väärtustada, arendada ja säilitada eesti keele oskus. Koolis õpetatakse lastele eesti keele õigekirja, lugemist ja kirjutamist läbi mängu, et säiliks huvi eestikeelse lastekirjanduse vastu ja kujundada lugemisharjumust.

Tutvustatakse Eesti kultuuri, et äratada lastes huvi eesti rahvamuusika, lastelaulude, ringmängude ja laulmise vastu. Eriti meeldejäävad olid jõulupidu, emadepäev ja lõpuaktus, kus lapsed näitasid, mida nad õppinud olid.

Lastele on tutvustatud eesti kultuurilugu, rahvakalendri tähtpäevi, tähtsamaid ajaloosündmusi ja Eesti loodust, mis nii paljuski on Los Angelese omast erinev.

Kool toimus iga kahe nädala järel pühapäeviti.

Sel õppeaastal õppis koolis ligi 30 õpilast neljas erinevas klassis.

Kooli eestvedaja Milvi Laane sõnul oli eriti hea meel näha, et väiksemate laste klass suurenes ja klassis on juba üle 10 lapse.

Lapsed ootasid huviga igakordset koolipäeva, sest neile väga meeldib meie koolis.

Uute kohtumiseni 2016/2017 õppeaastal!
