Ilmuma hakkab Eesti arheoloogia aastakiri Tutulus

Käesoleva aasta kolmandal nädalal jõuab lugejateni uus populaarteaduslik Eesti arheoloogia aastakiri Tutulus, mis hakkab täitma üht olulist lünka Eesti kaugema ajaloo tutvustamisel. Tutulus ilmub ajakirja Horisont jaanuarinumbri tasuta kaasandena, teatas Tartu ülikool.

Tutuluse eesmärk on heita pilk Eesti arheoloogias läinud aastal toimunule. Aastakirja paberväljaanne annab esmase ülevaate mulluste välitööde tulemustest, tutvustab  arheoloogiameetodeid, uudiseid, arheolooge ja nende tegemisi ning arheoloogiapärandi kaitsega seotud küsimusi.

Aastakirja koostajad ja põhiautorid on Tartu ülikooli arheoloogiaüliõpilased ning see hakkab ilmuma nii pidevalt uuenevas võrguversioonis (www.tutulus.ee) kui ka kord aastas, aastavahetuse paiku, paberväljaandena.

Väljaande taga on peamiselt üliõpilastest kirjutajate siiras soov suurendada huvi arheoloogia vastu; lugude toimetajadki on valdavalt tudengid ajakirjanduse ja eesti keele erialadelt. Ajakirja tegemisel on üheks taotluslikuks lähtekohaks olnud kirevus ja mitmekülgsus, samuti autorite isikupära hoidmine.

Aastakiri ilmub Euroopa Liidu Est-Lat-Rus piiriülese koostöö programmi projekti "Arheoloogia, võim ja ühiskond" raames. Projektis osaleb üheksa partnerit Eestist, Lätist ja Venemaalt ning projekti juhtpartneriks on Tartu ülikool. Programmi kaasrahastus projektile on veidi üle 1,5 miljoni euro.
