11.-28. oktoobrini toimub Luksemburgis  viiendat korda Kesk- ja Ida-Eu-roopa filmide festival CinEast, mille kavas on ka mahukas Eesti filmide programm.

Festivali programmidirektori Radek Lipka sõnul on festival 2012 aastal märgatavalt laienenud, kahekordistunud on osalevate riikide arv. Lisandunud on kolm Balti riiki (Eesti, Läti ja Leedu) ning kolm endist Jugoslaaviamaad (Horvaatia, Serbia ja Sloveenia). Festivali kavas on 50 mängufilmi ja 40 lühifilmi, sealhulgas dokumentaal- ja animafilmid, erinevad teemaüritused, laste- ja noortefilmide linastused, kuus muusikaüritust, fotonäitus, gastronoomiaüritus ja heategevuslik projekt. CinEasti filmifestival korraldab rikkaliku ja vaheldusrikka ekskursiooni Kesk- ja Ida-Euroopa filmi- ja kultuuriilma.

Eesti on festivalil esindatud nelja mängufilmiga: “Eestlanna Pariisis” (režissöör Ilmar Raag), “Seenelkäik” (režissöör Toomas Hussar), “Täitsa lõpp” (talgufilm) ja “Hukkunud Alpinisti hotell” (režissöör Grigori Kromanov). Animafilmidest on programmis “Villa Antropoff” (Kaspar Jancis ja Vladimir Lechiov), “Keha mälu” (Ülo Pikkov), “Prohveti sünd” (Rao Heidmets), “Suur maja” (Kristjan Holm), lühifilmidest “Linnatundra” (Robi Uppin, Maria Kivirand), “Priceless” (Heigo Lepla), “White Square” (Ivan Pavljutškov)

Festival avatakse 11. oktoobril Ilmar Raagi filmiga “Eestlanna Pariisis”, millele järgneb üritus “Welcome to Estonia”, mille korraldavad Eesti Vabariigi saatkond Brüsselis ja Luksemburgis ning Luksemburgi Eesti Selts.

CinEasti festivali eesmärk on tutvustada paljurahvuse-ise Luksemburgi kodanikele värskeid filme, mis on võitnud auhindu rahvusvahelistel festivalidel, kuid mis jõuavad harva Luksemburgi Suurhertsogiriigi kinolevisse ning samuti esitleda osalevate maade kinokunsti ja kultuuri laiemalt.
