A total of 849 ballots were cast. Of those, 20 were annulled because the voter had not followed voting instructions. Consequently, 829 ballots were counted.
For the 2014 election, the EANC board reduced the number of Council members to be elected to 30 (it had been 35 in the previous election of 2010). 32 candidates submitted applications for membership.
Comparing the number of ballots cast in this election (849) with those cast in the Council election of 2010 (759), there is an increase of nearly 12%. The good news may be accountable, at least in part, to the substantial marketing campaign run by the EANC for this election
