Minu vaated – KLENK 2012

Lihtsa tööinimesena olin liiga väsinud, et KLENKi reedeõhtusest koosviibimisest osa võtta. Hiljem kuulsin vapustavaid kiiduavaldusi kontserdi kohta.

Laupäeva hommikune imekaunis Dearborn ja Henry Fordi külalistemaja võtsid mind kenasti vastu. Sisenedes leidsin klenklased oma hommikusöögi juures. Mõned tuttavad, mõned mittetuttavad. Esimene kõneleja Marina Kaljurand edastas Presidendi tervituse ja rääkis Eesti oludest ja eripäradest.

Tiit Telmeti ettekanne oli markide kujundamisest.

Järgnes kohalik Andrew Bergstrom, kes selgitas oma saadiku kandidatuuri.

Põgusa ülevaate helilooja Kaljo Raidi elust andis tema kasupoeg Viljar Puu Weimann. Tema ise on tegev viiuldajana Alabamas. Meelde jäi asjaolu, et Kaljot rikastasid ja huvitasid eelkõige inimesed ise. Mitte niivõrd nende saavutused ja ametikohad.

Peale maitsvat lõunasööki rääkis Taavo Virkhaus oma 1988 aasta seiklustest Eestis. Dirigent näitas Eesti televisiooni saadet sellest külaskäigust, seletades ise elavalt kaasa. Rääkis, kui hästi ta nooruses Vaagveres magas. Näitas meile kuulsa meistri Neeme Mälgi tehtud hinnalist ja imelise kõlaga viiulit. Olevat tehtud aastal 1949.

Kuna Lia Hess ei saanud Kanadast kohale tulla, edastas Linda Einpaul tema läkituse. Alustuseks Anna Haava sõnad:" Meie ei taha olla, ei ole vaikiv, ununev lehekülg aegade raamatus." Lia Hess täheldas, et muutuvas maailmas peavad muutuma Eesti ühiskonnad. Seda tuleb teha kõigist hoolivalt. Ilma pärimuste edasikandmiseta järeltulevastele põlvedele kaotame oma olemuse ja tavad. Tema pole kohanud inimest, kes kahetseks oma eesti keele oskust. On aga kohanud sadu, kes sooviksid seda keelt vallata. Elustamaks oma tegevust, peame korraldama heal tasemel üritusi ja seda südamest, mitte ajaloolisest kohusetundest. Tegevus peab olema reibas, rõõmus. Organisatsioonidevaheline koostöö peab tihenema. Avastades tuhandeid võimalusi tegemaks üritused inimestele südamelähedaseks. Kakskeelsus tuleb vastu võtta.

Meie ise olemegi see vajalik muudatus ajaloos. Igaüks oma kohustustega.

Gilda Karu rääkis ERKÜ kuuekümnenda aastapäeva pidustustest, mis sügisel aset leiavad. Kutsus kõiki osalema. Sellega olid ettekanded tehtud.

Õhtusöök oli elav. Järgnev kontsert, laulmine ja tants kaasakiskuvad. Enn Kiilaspea kitarril, Taavo Virkhaus klaveril, Viljar Puu Weimann viiulil, Heiki Palm tsellol.

Pärast rahva lahkumist rääkisin veel korraldaja Linda Einpauliga selle KLENKi kordaminekust ja kuidas minuealisi saaks rohkem osalema kaasata.
