Anoli describes make-up as a universal profession, and it’s easy to see why. Her first make-up lessons took place in Larissa, Greece. She studied at the Makeup Designory in Los Angeles, where she also served as the make-up artist on the short film Punching Hitler. After styling such Hollywood notables as Kelis, Pamela Anderson, Jude Law and Hilary Duff, Anoli next found herself in Brussels, Belgium, where she worked as a M.A.C. make-up artist and joined the reality show De Designers.

 

On July 15, 2012, the State Forest Management Center (RMK) opened a 370-kilometer-long hiking route that starts from one of the northern tips of Estonia and ends at Ikla on the Latvian border. The trail has been in the making process for 10 years. The route is marked with kilometer posts and signs that make it hard to lose one's way.

On Saturday, September 29, 2012, the Estonian American National Council will celebrate its 60th anniversary with a special Gala. Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves will join over 200 dignitaries, EANC members, Estonian-Americans and other well-wishers for a memorable evening at the Willard InterContinental Hotel, steps from the White House in the heart of downtown Washington DC.

The second-quarter overview compiled by the Estonian Institute of Economic Research demonstrates that, generally, enterprises are planning to hire more employees in all sectors in the next three months, reports Postimees Online.

The Estonian American National Council (EANC) announces the establishment of an EANC awards program to recognize Estonian American individuals or organizations in four categories.  This tradition will begin at EANC’s 60th anniversary gala on Saturday, September 29, 2012, at the Willard Inter-Continental Hotel in Washington, DC.

The Immigration History Research Center (IHRC) at the University of Minnesota has awarded the Hildegard and Gustav Must Graduate Fellowship in Estonian American Studies to Kelley Sundin for summer 2012.

Kersti K. Linask, PhD, professor at the University of South Florida (USF) and EANC member, has been awarded a 2012-2013 Fulbright U.S. Scholar grant to do research at Tartu University in Estonia.
Beginning in September 2012, Dr. Linask will conduct research and teach at the Hematology-Oncology Clinic of the Hospital of the University of Tartu.  Her research project will focus on enhancing the cardiac potential of human mesenchymal stem cells.  

The International Learned Committee, which co-ordinates the work of the Estonian Institute of Historical Memory which was established for the in-depth investigation of violations of human rights in occupied Estonia during the second half of the 20th century, today in Kadriorg discussed future research topics that would open different facets of repressive policies implemented by the Soviet Union.
